Singapore - The National Police continues to strive to be professional, modern and trustworthy. Efforts made include increasing capacity building and strengthening cooperation with international police, one of which is by attending international cyber crime conferences.
Deputy Director of Cybercrime at National Police Headquarters, KBP Asep Safrudin, S.IK had the opportunity to share about the challenges of handling cybercrime when he attended The ASEAN Plus Three Cybercrime Conference 2019 at the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI), 17-19 July 2019, Singapore. KBP Asep stated that one of the big challenges in preventing cyber crime is the lack of cyber security awareness or cyber security awareness of internet users. The same thing is also a challenge in many countries, especially the Southeast Asia region. It is important for cyber security awareness to be disseminated and become a 'wake up call' for internet users, so that efforts to prevent cyber crime can be carried out early and maximally, not only from the police, but also from the cooperation of various relevant stakeholders, including internet users.
