6. Got an emergency email? try checking again.

Some perpetrators often send emails that sound 'urgent', especially those related to money. They may ask for a certain amount of money for various reasons, such as the lives of close relatives being threatened, the condition of a country being in need of assistance, and so on.

7. Check the email signature

Most emails sent officially always include clear identification, such as full name, position in the company, company address, and contact number at the bottom of the email. If you don't find it, you need to be careful.

8. Be careful with the files you send

The perpetrator will lure you with various tricks. Discount vouchers? Free trial application? Free videos? Photos of your idol celebrities? Don't be immediately tempted. It could be that there is malware in it.

9. Don't be completely trusting

Don't easily conclude the contents of the message you receive. There's nothing wrong with taking the time to study the email you receive. Because, it could be that the perpetrator knows your daily life and understands your pleasure.

10. If you are in doubt, contact your IT Team.

If you work at a company that provides an IT Team, then you need to communicate with them when you encounter an email that you are suspicious of. Moreover, the device you use is connected to other devices via the office network. It's possible that you will have to compensate for all the losses you incur as a result of a wrong click.

Not only that, many phishing perpetrators also disguise themselves as HRD employees offering jobs via email.
